Tsunami Warning
A tsunami warning was issued for the State of Hawai‘i on the afternoon of 29 July 2025 after it was determined that a magnitude 8.8 earthquake, which occurred east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kamchatka, Russia,1USGS: 2025 Kamchatka Peninsula Earthquake had generated tsunamis.
Operators of vessels that are moored in harbors are encouraged to take them out to sea prior to the estimated arrival of tsunami waves.
