Matson to Pay $725,000

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced yesterday that a settlement was reached with Matson regarding the molasses spill from a pipeline into Honolulu Harbor in 2013.

The $725,000 EPA penalty is in addition to $16 million in fines and reimbursements already paid to the state by Matson.
