BE Esmeralda Scheduled to Visit Hawai‘i

Chilean Navy ship BE Esmeralda outbound from Honolulu Harbor. 1 August 2016.

BE Esmeralda (BE-43), the sail training ship of the Armada de Chile (Chilean Navy), will visit Honolulu in November 2019. Her last visit to Hawai‘i was in 2016.

She is scheduled to arrive in Honolulu Harbor on Sunday, 17 November 2019 and depart on Wednesday, 20 November 2019.* Her berth is currently listed as Pier 9.

The ship is a four-masted barquentine. She was built in Cádiz, Spain and launched in 1953.

Edit: Unfortunately, the ship WILL NOT be in Honolulu Harbor. She will be in Pearl Harbor instead and will not be open to the general public. (6 November 2019)
