USNS Zeus (T-ARC-7)
USNS Zeus (IMO 7932408) is a Military Sealift Command (MSC) cable ship. She is able to repair as well as lay submarine cables.
MSC ships are owned or chartered by the United States Government (Navy) and “provide logistics support, conduct special missions, move military equipment, supply combat forces, provide humanitarian relief, and strategically position combat cargo around the world.”
The crews of MSC ships are primarily made up of civilian mariners.
