Fire Fighter (1938)

The National Historic Landmark Fire Fighter is a fireboat that was operated by the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) from 1938 through 2010. She is currently operated as a museum ship by the Fireboat Fire Fighter Museum and is currently located at Mystic Seaport Museum.

Fire Fighter was one of the FDNY Marine Units that responded on 11 September 2001. They supplied water to the land-based units that were fighting the fires associated with the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
