After the conclusion of the Council of American Maritime Museums’ (CAMM) 2026 conference, Maritime Hawai‘i headed north to Boston, Massachusetts.

Did you post that photo just for me? That’s a former Navy 33-foot “Utility” boat, the 10MUB9303. The Navy offered her for sale in 2020 at Williamsburg VA, their storage place for small craft. The buyer got a real bargain; she’d only been used for a few years, assigned to the USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC 20) before that type of boat was replaced by rigid inflatables aboard ship.

There were a lot of interesting vessels tucked away in the harbor. Maybe there will be more hidden gems for you?
