DOT Harbors workers were trying to fish a partially submerged tote bag out of the water off Pier 9 (Honolulu Harbor), but were having a difficult time doing so with the gear they had on hand.

The current was carrying the bag away from the pier, when the PENCO boat passed by on her way to Pier 1A to move the boom surrounding the container ship Herm and Kirby bunker barge Ne‘ena (visible in the distance in the photo above). Noting the situation, the PENCO crew retrieved the bag from the water and handed it off to the workers on the pier before heading off.
