100 Years Ago – Falls of Clyde and Marion Chilcott Sold

From the 26 November 1919 issue of the Honolulu Advertiser:

Ship Marion Chilcott and Bark Falls of Clyde, two of the biggest and most picturesque sailing vessels that have been making regular trips to Honolulu from the Coast, may never again be seen in our harbor.

Reports of the sale of the two ships were confirmed by T.W. Wright, who was the Associated Oil Company’s superintendent in Honolulu.
