Aloha Tower. (DeSoto Brown Collection)
Aloha Tower is a Honolulu Harbor icon. When it opened in 1926, it was the tallest building in Honolulu at 184 feet and functioned as a lighthouse to guide ships into the harbor. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. 2026 marks its 100th anniversary.
After extensive renovations and repairs, Aloha Tower was reopened to the public on 16 October 2026 as part of the Aloha Tower Centennial Celebration. The event featured food trucks, live music, and a drone show.
