Drunken Sailor – June 1896

What shall we do with a drunken sailor?

As noted in the 22 June 1896 issue of The Hawaiian Star:

 


Transcript:
KNOCK DOWNS.
     At 10 o’clock a drunken sailor staggered to the boat landing and knocked a boat boy down. Another boat boy then laid the sailor out. Both men were sprawled upon the ground as if dead until picked up. No arrests were made.
